Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan are recreating the magic of “Tamma Tamma” with their adorable on-screen chemistry. The song is the remake of the 90’s song, Tamma Tamma, which had Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt grooving to the snazzy Bappi Lahiri’s number in the film Thanedaar.
But, the ace choreographer, Saroj Khan is apparently miffed with the new song and the madness surrounding it.
She had choreographed Madhuri Dixit in the earlier version of this song, and she wasn’t a part of the remake version.
Apart from her, everyone associated with the earlier version was called to participate in the song shoot.
When quizzed about this, she exclaimed:
Why should they call me? They don’t owe me anything. Maybe they felt since my assistant Madhuri Dixit was there, they didn’t need me around.
While saying that, she subtly hinted that the new song lacked the “standard”.
You have to ask them why I wasn’t invited. I don’t mind not being invited…The new version of any of my dance numbers have to be of some standard for them to invite me to watch it.
When asked if she liked the new song, she gave a diplomatic answer.
“I haven’t seen the whole song. I’ve just seen the trailer. And I can’t comment.”
We wonder why Dharma Productions didn’t rope in Saroj Khan while shooting that song.
