The Modi Cabinet is fast becoming the most people-friendly government this country has ever had. Most of its ministers are active on social media and have been successfully solving people’s grievances brought to their notice on Twitter. Best examples of this are Suresh Prabhu and Sushma Swaraj. But now Communications and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad also seems to have joined the league. But his case is different and unique in itself for he was contacted on Facebook.
On Twitter, there are designated handles for people to state their problems and bring them to the concerned department’s notice. However, there is no such medium for direct approach on Facebook. But see what happened.
1. A person claiming to have a faulty landline expressed his concern by commenting on a Facebook post of the minister, which was about an event attended by the minister among other dignitaries. Here is the post by the minister and the person’s complaint.
This is probably the least noticeable way for someone to express their grievance, since multiple people comment on Facebook posts, most of which are random and are ignored. But what transpired after this comment is something pleasantly surprising. Page 2 : A shocking response!
