From being a player who had a reputation of being aggressive on and off-field, to being a Captain who knows how and where to draw lines, he’s come a long way. He is as fierce as a tiger in the field but his newly-found calmness can now be seen in post-match interviews.
The Indian skipper showed a fine example of the same yesterday when a Journalist asked him if he was struggling as an opener in the team. The batsman was seen having a tough time scoring runs in the T20 series and had a total of only 52 runs in three matches.
He calmly reverted the reporter back, “Maine IPL mein batting ki thi as an opener. Char hundred banaye the. Tab kisi ne kuch nahi bola. Ab match mein run nahi banaye to problem ho gayi?”
The Captain had a pretty casual tone when he said that and continued, “I am more happy about that (series) and not worried about my opening slot. If I had made 70 runs in two matches, would you have asked me this question? No, right? So just enjoy the series. It is a nice win for us.”

He added that there are 10 other players in the team and one should focus on their outstanding performances as well. “If I do everything so what will the others do,” he said.
Aye Aye, Captain!
